Asian Printmedia Consultancy Group (APC)
Asian Printmedia Consultancy Group Inc., incorporated in May 2006, is an organization with a
mission to provide technical expertise through training and consultancy, improve quality, efficiency and
profitability of graphic companies. The team behind APC consists of experienced, well-educated consultants from
graphic industries worldwide.
Asian Printmedia Consultancy Groups also invested in a training center equipped with print
simulator technologies (i.e. SHOTS sheetfed-offset training simulators), up-to-date audio-visual equipments,
computer hardware, testing and measuring instruments and printing systems to confirm and validate what it teaches.
It's the only facility of its kind in the Philippines. In this facility, APC trains operators on technical aspects,
from basic up to advanced level. APC also provides training in the area of organizational matters for the middle
management.

Don Bosco School of Printing
Founded in 1993, Don Bosco School of Printing (DBSP) seeks to bring into the printing
industry a new breed of professionals. The TESDA-accredited school offers a one-year intersive Printing
Technician Course covering conventional/digital prepress, lithographic offset printing and postpress. Training is
coupled with real experience in the fully operational Don Bosco Press. Christian formation and co-curricular
activities give focus to spiritual growth, family spirit, proper work attitude and the ideals of Bosconian service.
The printing school graduated 15 young men and women in June 2008. There were 23 students for school year
2008-2009.

First Academy of Computer Arts
Established in 2001, the First Academy of Computer Arts offers Certificate Courses in Print
Media Arts, Multimedia Arts, Web Design and 3D Art. The Print Media Program includes Graphic Design, Graphic
Illustration and Page Layout and Design. Short courses or workshops are also offered on Brochure Design, Book
Layout and Packaging Design among others.

Philippine Center for Creative Imaging
Founded in 1998 by lead members of IdN (International Designers Network) Club Philippines,
the Philippine Center for Creative Imaging, or PCCI, is the premier training hub for the country’s growing pool of
digital artists and photographers. It conducts intensive, hands-on workshops in graphics software and their
real-world applications.
PCCI is the only authorized training center for Adobe in the Philippines. It
is also an authorized training center for Canon and Apple as well as a training partner of
Wacom and Corel.

Philippine Printing Technical Foundation (PPTF)
The Philippine Printing Technical Foundation is a private, non-stock, member-supported,
non-profit institution dedicated to the upliftment of the graphic arts communications industry through a program of
manpower training, upgrading of knowledge and skills. Since its establishment in 1967, the foundation has been
offering seminars and short courses in printing related topics such as General Printing Orientation, Print Cost
Estimating and Production Management among others. It also conducts seminars in provincial areas and in-plant
training as well. The foundation also publishes the Grafika, a printing technical magazine.

Printing Industries Association of the Philippines (PIAP)
Originally established in 1963 as the Printing Industries of Manila, the Printing Industries
Association of the Philippines is the trade organization of the printing industry in the Philippines. As part of
its commitment to provide technical assistance to its members, the association regularly schedules what it
calls Printing Update Seminars. The seminars, which are usually joint endeavors with industry suppliers, cover
different specific areas of the printing process.

Technological University of the Philippines (TUP)
The College of Industrial Technology (CIT) traces its roots from the Technical Department of
the then Philippine School of Arts and Trades adapted in 1937 which later became the Philippine College of Arts and
Trades.
In 1978, the then Philippine College of Arts and Trades was converted into the Technological University of the
Philippines (TUP). Simultaneously, the College of Industrial Technology arose from the departments of the former
Technical Department.
Today, the CIT is the center of the industrial technology education of the University and is composed of eight
departments namely, the Basic Industrial Technology, the Civil Engineering Technology, the Electrical Engineering
Technology, the Electronics Engineering Technology, the Food and Apparel Technology, the Graphic Arts and
Printing Technology, the Mechanical Engineering Technology and the Power Plant Engineering
Technology.
